Project Overview
BACKGROUND
The album is titled 'Living in Nuances', a 5 track L.P currently in the works by Ademola Are. The music sonically reflects influences of an African and soft R'n'B and should visually reference Basquiat and Lemi Ghariokwu's art styles.
OBJECTIVE
Design a key visual that accurately captures the essence of the project conceptually and resonates aesthetically.
CREATIVE DIRECTION
The front cover features a portrait of the artist, complemented by bold, monogrammatic typography of the title, 'N.' This letter is constructed in a three-dimensional style, visually embodying the concept of nuances while reflecting the artist's state of mind. Hand-drawn motifs pay homage to Lemi Ghariokwu's iconic cover designs, while the typographic style references the expressive, handwritten aesthetic of Jean-Michel Basquiat.
